Question: Is the old say, "any publicity is good publicity always true? Why or Why not defend your answer. Edit
Answer: The saying is only true for the unknown or less recognized brands because they have nothing to lose. The expert on marketing also warns the bad impacts of bad publicity by the social media. For large multinational companies bad publicity test the determination and cohesiveness of any particular brand.
The bad publicity allows the big companies to become more introspective and responsive towards the publicity strategies and branding (Skard & Thorbjørnsen, 2014).
The biggest problem that is faced by the big companies by the bad publicity is negative criticism and bad write-ups. The bad publicity stick on the reputation of the company for the longer period and especially in the world of internet it becomes difficult for the company to build the image after bad publicity.
