Question: A hot process fluid is cooled using a cold wastewater stream. There is more wastewater available than is required to perform the heat exchange. Assume that the wastewater stream has sufficient pressure to route it through the heat exchanger but insufficient pressure after the heat exchanger to route the warm wastewater to its discharge location.
