Question: How do stilt roots support the sugarcane plant? Edit
Answer: Sugarcane has weak stems. Roots grow low on their stem and into the soil. The additional roots growing from stem into the ground give the plant extra support it needs. These are called stilt roots and this way they give support to sugarcane. Edit
