Question: Isotonic muscle contractions functions are? Edit
Answer: With isotonic contractions, the muscles remains unchanged but the length of it gets changed. This happens when the muscle's maximum contraction force exceeds total load on the muscle. With this type of contraction a muscle creates movement.
There are two types of isotonic muscle contraction - concentric and eccentric. Where the muscles shorten with fibre contraction, it is called concentric. And, when the muscles lengthen with contraction it is called eccentric contraction. Edit
