Question: The mean incubation time for a type of fertilized egg kept at 101.2F is 24 days. Suppose that the incubation times are approximately normally distributed with a standard deviation of 2 days.
Question is: What is the probability that a randomly selected fertilized egg takes over 28 days to hatch? Edit
Answer: Here x =28, mu=24 and sigma=2
z= (x -mu)/sigma=(28-24)/2=2
Need to find , P(x>28)=P(z>2)=0.0228(Ans.) Edit
