tutor3 : what is the problem?
student : Assume that the time (in hours) until failure of a transistor is a random variable. Where the average lifespan of a transistor is 100 hours.

(a) Find the probability that the transistor will last more than 15 hours.
(b) Find the probability that the transistor will last more than 110 hours.
(c) What is the conditional probability that the transistor will last more than 110 hours given that it has already been observed to last 95 hours? How does this compare to your answer in (a)? (hint: this distribution has a ‘no memory’ property)
