**How many lead balls each of radius 1 cm can be made from a sphere whose radius is 8 cm ?**

**Solution:** Radius of the sphere = 8 cm

Volume of the sphere = 4 /3 Π r^{3} = 4/3 Π (8)^{3} = 4/3 Π x 512 cm^{3}

Now radius of each ball = 1 cm

Volume of each ball = 4/3 Π x r^{3} = 4/3 Π x (1)cm^{3} = 4/3 Π cm^{3}

Hence, number of lead balls = Volume of the sphere / Volume of the ball = 4/3 Π x 512 / 4/3 Π = 512.
