Solve -11 ≤ 4x – 3 ≤ 13

Solution: We have,

-11 ≤ 4x – 3 ≤ 13

<=> -11 + 3 ≤ 4x – 3 + 3 ≤ 13 + 3 [Adding 3 throughout]

=> -8 ≤ 4x ≤ 16

=> -8/4 ≤ x ≤ 16/4 [Dividing by 4 throughout]

=> -2 ≤ x ≤ 4

=> x ∈ [-2, 4]

Hence, the interval [-2, 4] is the solution set of the given system of inequations.
