Solve the equation (3x - 4)/4 – (4x - 1)/3 = (x + 2)/2 – 6

Solution: The L.C.M. of 4, 3, 2 is 12

Multiply both sides of the equation by 12, we get

3(3x - 4) – 4(4x - 1) = 6(x + 2) – 72

9x – 12 – 16x + 4 = 6x + 12 – 72

i.e. – 7x – 8 = 6x – 60

Implies, 7x + 6x = 60 – 8

i.e. 13x = 52

or, x = 4
