The mid-point of a line segment is the point (2, 1), and one end point of the segment is (-3, 2). Find the other end point.

Solution: --A(-3, 2)-----------------------C(2, 1)-----------------------B(h, k)---

Let the other end point be (h, k)

Therefore, (h - 3)/2 = 2; i.e. h - 3 = 4 or h = 7

(k + 2)/2 = 1 i.e. k + 2 = 2 Therefore, k = 0

Therefore, the other end-point = (h, k) = (7, 0)
