**Write the Cartesian rectangular coordinates of the point (4, 30 ^{0})**

**Solution:** Relations connecting rectangular coordinates and polar coordinates are given by

x = r cos Θ; y = r sin Θ

For the point (4, 30^{0})

r = 4; Θ = 30^{0}

Therefore, x = 4 cos 30^{0} = 4 x √3 / 2 = 2 √3

y = 4 sin 30^{0} = 4 x 1/2 = 2

Hence, the point is (2 √3, 2)
