This course is designed for the undergraduate students studying social sciences. It gives us an introduction to the fundamental concepts of statistics that includes the following topics - The random sampling and concept of statistical inference, the theory of estimation and testing of hypothesis, the analysis of regression, the method of analysis of variance and the Chi-square tests based on categorical data.
Students are not permitted to take more than one of STATS 301, 302 or 303 for credit.
