This course is designed for the undergraduate students studying biological sciences and agriculture other than agricultural economics. It gives us an introduction to the fundamental concepts of statistics that includes the following topics - The random sampling and concept of statistical inference, the theory of estimation and testing of hypothesis, the analysis of regression, the method of analysis of variance and the Chi-square tests based on categorical data.
Students are not permitted to take more than one of STATS 301, 302 or 303 for credit.
Prerequisite to this course: MATH 141 or 166 or equivalent...
