Write a in terms of b for: a = 9^x + 5 and b = 3 - 3^x

Solution: b = 3 - 3^x

=> 3^x = 3 - b

And, a = 9^x + 5

=> a = (3²)^x + 5

=> a = (3^x)² + 5

By replacing value of 3^x in a , we get a in terms of b as:

a = (3 - b)² + 5
