Solution: Relations connecting rectangular coordinates and polar coordinates are given by

x = r cos Θ; y = r sin Θ

For the point (4, 30⁰)

r = 4; Θ = 30⁰

Therefore, x = 4 cos 30⁰ = 4 x √3 / 2 = 2 √3

y = 4 sin 30⁰ = 4 x 1/2 = 2

Hence, the point is (2 √3, 2)
